Connecticut Wedding Ceremony Music

The Nutmeg Ensemble

Grandparents and Parents Seating

The bride and groom’s grandparents and parents walk down the aisle just before the bridal party procession.  Sometimes the mothers and grandmothers enter at the end of the prelude and do not have specific music for their entrance, but most often, special music is requested.  If the mothers will be lighting the unity candle tapers at this point, the same music can be continued.  This music is generally a slower, softer selection.  The Ave Maria (Schubert) is a well known choice here, but there are many beautiful classical selections that you can also choose, such as La Grace or La Tranquillite (Telemann), Sheep May Safely Graze (Bach) or Jesu Joy Of Man’s Desiring (Bach).
